Linguistics 96

Selected Topics for ESL Students

1 or 2 units - offered Fall and Winter (and sometimes Spring) quarters

Graduate M.A. students in Linguistics offer special classes to international students to provide them with practice using English. These classes focus on communication and culture at the university and in the community and are offered in small group, interactive settings. The courses are offered Fall and Winter Quarters (and sometimes in Spring). In Fall, students can sign up for one course for one unit. In Winter, students can sign up for one or two courses for either one or two units of credit. Please note that TAKING A LIN 96 COURSE DOES NOT FULFILL THE ENGLISH REQUIREMENT FOR THOSE HELD. This course is offered as ADDITIONAL work for those who want it.
